Biological Control

In landscape plants, low to mid-level populations of pests can be controlled by introducing beneficial insects that target and consume the pest insects. This is known as augmentative biological control, releasing specialist or generalist predators to control the insects that are damaging the plants, minimizing need for chemical applications. This is commonly done as part of plant health care in plants that are prone to injury from mites and aphids, but we can provide predator releases as a part of your plant health care program to control mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, mealybugs, caterpillars, leafhoppers, and soft scale insects, among others.
